April 2012. Mary and I paddled a canoe 64 miles through the spectacular wilderness of the Lower Labyrinth Canyon. Take out was on the Colorado River 4 miles downstream of the confluence. Picked up by jet boat operated by Tex's Riverways. If you are in need of an outfitter... highly recommend these folks. April is a great time to go. Full of incredible weather events, comfortable temps and very few folks. Amazing hikes throughout. Now I understand why photographers go nuts here with natural lighting, indeed it is magical. Simply stellar! While there, make time to visit Canyonlands National Park and do some hikes inside as well. Afterwards, go get Moab'd. Heck, you might come back wanting a Jeep! And if you got more time, bring your rope and climbing shoes. I was lucky enough to bring along a small travel guitar. The acoustics in rock... whew.... bring it on Lexicon.
