August 2009. These classic waters called us to visit. I must admit, hard to pass through great fishing in Idaho as we rolled east. But once we hit Big Sky country, we understood why it is special indeed. We laid line in everything we came across. From creeks to rivers. We spent a day drifting the Madison with an excellent guide who placed us in the goods. Tim was amazing. We had hoots and hollers pulling Madison Browns in the glass. It was our first trip where we formally hired a guide and was definitely worth it. We left with one impression... we'll be back! Walking the Yellowstone is another classic, surrounded by fabulous water. The only thing that pulled us away from this fun was a need to return to employment. Still trying to change that through scratching an occasional lotto ticket.
